DELL PS EQL 패스워드 리셋 방법

DELL iSCSI Storage 중 대표적인 EQL 장비의 Password Reset 방법 입니다.

간혹가다 Storage의 관리 Password를 분실하여 곤란한 상황이 생길 때가 있습니다.

그럴땐.. 당황하지 말고 아래의 명령어로 진행하시면 큰 문제 없이 잘 해결이 됩니다.

•Turn off the Power to your EQL.
  EQL 파워를 off 한다.

•Connect the console cable and start Putty on your PC (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html)
PC에 시리얼 케이블을 연결하고 Putty프로그램을 실행 시킨다.

•Turn on the power by turning on all the power supplies.
모든 EQL 파워를 ON 해 놓는다.

•While the member is restarting, press Ctrl/p when the following message appears on the console:Press Ctrl/p to enter setup mode.

EQL이 재시작 되는 동안  화면에 Ctrl/p 가 나올때 PC에서 Ctrl+p를 눌러 Setup mode로 진입 한다.
This will halt the boot process and allow you to enter commands to the boot monitor.
Boot 프로세스가 중단 되고 모니터에 아래 메시지를 입력한다.

•At the EQL> prompt, enter the following commands, which are case-sensitive and must be typed exactly as shown:EQL> setenv RESETPASSWORD 1 (enter)
EQL> reload (enter)

초기화 후

Login: grpadmin

Password: grpadmin

Grpadmin의 권한은 모든 admin 권한 임으로 PassWord를 변경하여 관리 하는 것이 좋다.(보안상)

PassWord변경 Command는 아래와 같다.

EQL>account select grpadmin passwd (Enter)

EQL>Enter New Password: xxxxxx(변경 할 PassWord 입력) Retype password: xxxxxx(변경 할 PassWord재입력)
